Manual Transmission (1 of 44 built)
Very, very few Porsche 928 GTS were built with a 5-speed manual transmission, in part due to the novelty of the automatic transmission at the time. Luckily, this particular car was optioned with a traditional manual transmission giving it true Porsche character.
In fact, only 44 units of the 1994 Porsche 928 GTS were built for the US market – this happens to be one of them.
Step inside the 928 GTS and you are greeted with plenty of leather and luxurious Midnight Blue carpeting throughout the cabin. The interior is clean and well-kept with little-to-no wear and tear.

Engine, Transmission & Driving Experience
The car’s heart and soul is a naturally aspirated 5.4L V8 engine which pumps out an impressive 350 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque; in fact, it was among the most powerful cars at the time. Power and torque are felt immediately at all times but the car truly shines on the highway at higher speeds.
Whether it’s performance numbers or driving pleasure, this 928 GTS with its 5-speed manual transmission is the best way to experience the car’s true potential. We’ve driven a handful of automatic GTS models over the years and this one, being the only manual one we’ve come across, easily outclasses the others.

Body & Paint
The body is completely straight with no panels gaps, no dents or damage to report. Only a handful of minor rock chips and surface scratches are visible when looking very closely at the body.
After only a few moments of staring at it, you realize that this 928 GTS has been loved by its owners since it left the factory. Its Polar Silver Metallic paint looks beautiful with very few imperfections throughout the body.
Some portions have been resprayed meticulously in its original paint. The rest of the body remains largely in its factory condition with no original panels ever being replaced.
The Porsche 928 GTS
GTS models were built with wider rear fenders to allow additional space for its 9″ wide wheels, larger front brakes and a more powerful 5.4L V8 engine, among other changes. The car was designed to offer Porsche performance with as much luxury as they could fit inside the cabin.
In fact, Porsche described it best: “The Porsche 928 GTS is genuinely unique among high performance sports cars, being much quicker than anything else as luxurious, and much more luxurious than anything remotely as quick.” The car was quite expensive at launch, in fact, a loaded GTS model could surpass the $100,000 USD in 1995, making it among the most expensive cars on the road at the time.
This 928 GTS was impressively well-documented through the joint effort of each of its previous owners. In fact, Its most recent owner compiled a large binder filled with essential information including:
